Salary: Circa £45k

As part of the technical support team for global transaction banking division, the Oracle DBA will be part of a global Database Support Team responsible for both building & supporting Oracle 10g databases in a RAC environment on a Solaris platform.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, pro-active, driven & be able to demonstrate a track record as a midrange UNIX based Oracle Technician. You will work as part of a local & global team, and confidently interface with external areas. The ability to work under pressure & have a sense of ownership are also required. Mainframe Analyst / Programmer - Sheffield and Birmingham

We require experienced Mainframe Analyst/Programmers to work on the development of the One HSBC Cards (Whirl) application' supporting credit and debit cards, partnership cards, HFC, M&S Money throughout Central Europe and the Middle East.

You will be an Analyst or Technician with a solid mainframe development and COBOL background (Cobl/Cics/DB2). You will be involved in functional and technical analysis, programming, support of testing and assisting in technical implementations. Knowledge of credit card systems would be advantageous as would experience in project management as your role will involve an element of project management co-ordination.

Technical Lead

Salary: Circa £35k depending on experience

We require an experienced Technical Lead with a proven track record to lead and manage both off-shore and on-shore teams to deliver project work to time, cost and quality constraints.

You will have experience of working with large volumes of data in a complex BI environment, with relatively large data models and tight processing windows with high job interdependency. Experience of analysis; working with business and raw data; data analysis tools and methods to speed analysis tasks and of developing DataStage (Server and PX) under pressure to existing internal standards. A good knowledge of Avellino Discovery, Control-M, UNIX, SAS and Teradata is also required.

You will have the ability to create a solution using component parts to produce a technical design which is performant and efficient, built to existing standards and guidelines. You will also possess high standards of proficiency, be an outgoing, self starting, enthusiastic person with strong interpersonal organisational and written/verbal communication skills. Technical Project Manager

Salary: Circa £42k depending on experience

You will be responsible for technical project management either on small independent projects or as a stream within a major project program. You may manage and lead a team of technical specialists preparing and scheduling manpower resources ensuring they are effectively deployed.

You will hold some formal Project Management training, have demonstrable experience of full development lifecycle and have been the Technical lead on at least 2 major development projects. Your strong technical background will include experience of PM methodologies and of change and release management.

The post requires experience of various roles including experience of programming and/or analysis and systems testing, and team leading. Knowledge of telecommunications and computer operations, knowledge of the Bank's business and strategy and a broad based knowledge of related systems and the IT Strategy is also necessary.
