Earn yourself a nationally recognised qualification
We don’t say ‘earn’ lightly. By joining our Right Direction Programme – also known as our apprentice scheme – you’ll be paid while you work towards your NVQ, Key Skills and Modern Apprenticeship certificates. But the best thing about the programme is that it will give you the key skills you’ll need to get ahead in the growing Customer Service Sector and set you up for an exciting career at the world’s local bank.
You’ll join us as a Customer Service and Sales Representative or a Customer Sales Representative dealing with a variety of enquiries. Listening to customers carefully, you’ll decide what they need and make sure they go away with an answer they’re happy with.
Once you’ve successfully completed your qualification you’ll be working as a Customer Service professional and receive a pay rise to recognise that you have raised your skill levels to nationally recognised industry standards.

This Work Based Learning is linked to a Government funded scheme. The Government has stipulated certain eligibility criteria, which the bank has to follow. The criteria set by the Government states that to complete an NVQ Level 2 you must be aged 23 or above and not have already gained the equivalent of 5 GCSEs of grade C and above. To complete a Modern Apprenticeship, you must be aged between 16 and 24, and not have already gained a degree.
