At HSBC we are committed to people. The success of our business is built on engaged staff delivering outstanding service to our customers. Our vision is to build the best place to work for staff, and the best place to bank for our customers in the UK.
So we think it is very important to get the right person for the right job. Not only to ensure that we deliver the very best service to our customers. But also to ensure that whoever joins HSBC is going to be successful and happy in their role.
To support the above we have developed a Candidate Charter. It outlines our commitment to you. It also allows us to measure our progress. We ask candidates at key stages of the process how we are performing against the charter.
As part of the Charter we will always strive to:
Respect your time. We will keep the application process simple and group all the activities in a logical and systematic way. We will minimise the time you need to spend helping us to find out about you, and give you all the information you need to find out about us clearly and simply.
Progress your application as quickly as possible. We'll be asking you to promptly provide us with information and complete online tests etc... In return we promise to assess this information and get back to you quickly.
Respond quickly if when you have queries about your application. At any stage of the process you can email or call us.
Communicate with you. We want you to understand where you are in the application process, what the next steps will be and how long it will take. The majority of these communications will be by email.
Be fair and transparent with you. We don't accept stereotypes and diversity is central to our brand. We will only ask you about the skills you'll need to be happy and successful in the job, and we'll measure the evidence you give us objectively and transparently. If you are unsuccessful in your application we will tell you why and provide you with feedback.
Good luck with your application to join the World's Local Bank.
