Who helps bank employees in need?

The Bankers Benevolent Fund is the occupational benevolent fund for the banking industry, supported by all of the major UK banking groups. We help current and former bank employees and their dependants through four main grant programmes:

  1. Support in later years for older people on low income and capital who need assistance towards basic essentials, staying in their homes, mobility or beating the impact of social exclusion
  2. Child educational support following death or ill health/disability departure from work
  3. Disability support for both adults and children (this includes illness)
  4. Support in crisis for families or individuals hit by unexpected pressures with which they are unable to cope financially

In addition we launched a new Special Grants Programme, Investing in Brighter Futures in partnership with the National Autistic Society last year.
